He is Home!

My dad passed away tonight at 10pm. It was a peaceful passing as he merely fell asleep and awoke in Heaven. Though our separation is painful, we know that God causes all things to work together for good, and we rest tonight in His goodness."For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2nd Cor. 5:1)

We will post the time and place of the services as soon as they are established.

Rejoicing in the mercy of God!
Jonathan

Thank you, Jonathan for sharing your families journey with us. It has been an honor to pray for you and now to rejoice with you in our dear pastors going home.

We hurt with you all and will miss him very much. Our lives have been touched significantly by your Dad's life and his preaching. Never have I known a more scholarly student of the Word. It seemed obvious to us that he applied the Word to his own heart before he ever brought any message to his church.

We weep now but rejoice he is healed ....and strong ....and not suffering anymore.

We will stand with you in the months and years to come as we go on serving the Lord until we all join him Praising God for all eternity.

Bless you dear Pollack family. May you grieve sweetly in Bryan's memory.

Dear Pollock Family,

You don't know us, but we've been praying for your family for a very long time. We are grieved over the loss of your faithful husband and father, and our hearts ache for each and every one of you. Your beloved husband and father is no longer suffering, his earthly trials are over, and he has entered into the presence of the One he has served these many years. For that we truly REJOICE! But for those left behind, we sorrow.

I am without words as I read your post this morning Jonathan - I have a conflicted heart as I think of your pain and your dad's sweet release. The Whitehouse family will be covering you all in prayer during the upcoming hours, days, months and years. It is a sweet thing to be able to rejoice in the mercy of God!

What a marvelous privilege, what unspeakable advantage, such a benefit to have known such an increasable man. He has made a lasting impact on my soul and I am so very blessed and changed to have been able to gleam Godly insight and wisdom from him. I take so much from the experience and will continue to try and seek our Heavenly Father in like manner through Bryan's example. With all my heart, strength, and mind. May our sweet Lord bless your family in knowing he lives on in so many hearts and lives- for, through his devout studies, teaching and loving actions he evermore has shaped the way we view our walk and the way we will choose to affect the world in which we live. I deeply thank you Lord for the gift of Pastor Bryan Pollock’s life, for the immensity of it’s lasting impact, for giving us this blessing. Heaven rejoices with his homecoming and may he know youthful strength and good health once more. If there is anything I can do Susan, kids… it would be such an honor.

Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you all. Bryan and Susan both meant so much to Shaunna and myself during our college years in Tacoma. May the Spirit be your Comforter during this time.

This blog site has been one of upliftment and courage. I've gained so much insight and hope from it's enlightened thoughts, indeed several writings have been ones I review for comfort often. It could not have come from anyone less studied or inspired, and I am sorry for this earthly loss, both to his family and the world.

Our dearest Pollock family,
The words of that glorious hymn come to mind at this time, "It is well, it is well, with my soul" May the Lord continue to encourage your souls that all is well. In the midst of sorrow may we proclaim, "It is well". When on our knees in prayer may His spirit confirm in our hearts, "It is well" and when we cling to His word may we be strengthened that, "It is well with my soul".
All our love,
The Bryan Family

I don't know what to add to all the beautiful comments that have been left, except to say that we will continue to uphold you all daily in our prayers.

Although I never met Bryan and I only met Susan and two of her daughters once, I have been deeply touched by your lives and the beauty that your lives lived to the Lord Jesus has on others. A godly heritage remains forever.

In Christ,
Nanci Smith

Even though we have only attended Pilgrim for just over a year, by God's grace and Pastor Bryan's sermons, our family has changed dramatically (and still on the upward path).
We love you Pollock Family! Your strength and journery through suffering has encouraged and humbled us.

Please know we and so many others are praying for you. We are here for you.
God bless you,
Heather, for the Holston Family

Dear Susan and Family,

We praise the Lord for having the opportunity to know Pastor Bryan and your family.

We remember something Pastor Bryan preached one Sunday when we were present at Pilgrim. "You can't know Jesus until you are saved". This was the sermon the Lord used to teach us of His Sovereign Grace.

We are praying for you and your family at this difficult time. The Lord is near. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
